Doors may well be the most critical panel on a car. They must be rigid onto themselves; mounted from typically only two fixed points. They must carry glass, be waterproof, and articulate. They are the driver’s first point of physical contact with the vehicle. While a door needs to be visually appealing, it transmits through feel and sound the car’s overall sense of quality...or lack thereof.
